This information was posted on the blog, but I suspect this may be of interest to many of the visitors - and, of course, not everyone is going to go reading through every post so they'd never find this.
There are several aspects to this that could be of interest - and use - to you. Free business to business magazines. Not ezines, these are actual real hard-copy magazines. Unfortunately, at the current time, the offer is only available to US residents. I assume this is because international mailing costs just make it too expensive.
Many of you already have an offline business so new information sources - free ones - can help you stay on top of your business. Others of you may be interested in specific areas. Maybe just to gather ideas or to help you plan either online or offline ventures. The sheer number and variety of magazines offered through this service is incredible. Here's a list of the areas covered by one or more of the magazines available:
|
Agriculture Architecture Automotive Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals Building Management & Real Estate Business Services Computers & Information Technology Construction Education Electrical Engineering Finance Food & Beverage Government Healthcare Human Resources Industrial & Manufacturing Insurance and Safety Interior Design, Furniture, Fashions |
Internet Meetings & Travel Metal, Mechanical & Machinery Mining Multimedia Network / Communications Oil, Gas & Electrical Energy Purchasing & Procurement Retail Sales & Marketing Trade/Professional Services Transportation & Logistics Utility & Energy Veterinary Waste Management & Water Supply Wholesale Trade Wireless & Telecommunications Woodworking |
Now if you can't find something interesting in that list, you must have one very unusual business in mind. Here's a short blurb that's a text link to the site - it opens in a new window:
Free 12 Month Subscriptions to Business Magazines...Actually they say they have over 325 magazines currently available. You could end up with a very full mailbox. Aside from the direct uses for an existing business, help with your career (it never hurts to be on top of developments in your business area), or ideas for a new business, I noticed that they also seem to have a good number of magazines that can provide information for hobbies, avocations or special interests that aren't directly business-related.
So for those of you who live in the US, take a look and see what you find to build your business, give you ideas for a new one, or have some fun. I hope you'll find it a valuable resource.
